Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana MP
Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi has declared guidelines for PM Fasal Bima Yojana at the occasion of Kisan Kalyan Mela at Sehore, Madhya Pradesh. The PM Fasal Bima Yojana is said to be the biggest crop insurance scheme in India and launched in January this year. Shree Modi has also said that from the upcoming Kharif season farmers will get the facility available under the scheme. Along with this crop insurance scheme the farmers will also get soil health cards.

The PMFBY is a scheme for the farmers to insure their crops. As people know every year a huge portion of crops get destroyed due to natural calamities or other reasons, sometimes they face similar distressful situations after harvesting and so. Looking at such situation the Government has taken this initiative to provide this crop insurance scheme.

- The premium under this scheme is also very low. According to the guidelines of the scheme the premium rates are
- For the Kharif crops it is 2%
- For the Rabi crops it is 1.5%
- For the commercial and horticulture crops the rate is 5%
There will no fixed upper limit of subsidy under this scheme. Unlike previous schemes, there will not be any low rate of insurance coverage for the farmers. Under this scheme the farmers will get the complete coverage for their loss, irrespective of their premium rate.
- PMFBY – Madhya Pradesh
The scheme was launched in India in January this year and in mid of February PM has declared th scheme officially in MP at Sehore area. On the occasion of Kisan Kalyan Mela, annual agricultural fair, PM stated that this scheme will change the lives of the farmers. This Bima scheme has lowest premium than that of any other insurance policy.
In his speech at Kisan Kalyan Mela at Sehore, PM Mr. Modi said, Madhya Pradesh has a wide area of agricultural sector and the Chief Minister of the state has done an amazing job to boost the agricultural sector of the state. This scheme is one small contribution to these several agricultural programs that MP state government has launched to encourage the agricultural sector.

In this Kisan Kalyan Mela at Sehore, PM shree Narendra Modi has declared some other agricultural benefits along with Fasal Bima Yojana as well. He said there will be other benefits like soil health card scheme, organic farming, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana and such.
While discussing about the crop insurance and other benefits available in agricultural sector, PM Mr. Modi said to the farmers that there will also be enough stock of urea, which is one of the most important elements in farming. Now farmers will get enough urea form the state government while cropping and harvesting.
Also while talking about the digital India, PM has stated about the launch of the National agriculture market – a digital platform which will help the farmers to earn more for their final products.
