On the 13th of January, 2016, the present PM of the country declared that all existing crop insurances will be compiled under one and will be implemented as the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. With the help of this scheme, the farmers will be able to insure the produce and get the insurance money in case of any crop failure due to natural causes.

Rice, wheat, pulses, millets, castor, groundnut, linseed, cashew nut, guava, banana, and mangoes are some of the important crops that have been highlighted in the list.
