Eligibility Criteria for Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana
- For this health insurance and social security scheme of Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana, the applicants should be in between the age limit from 18 years to 59 years.
- Also the applicant must be the head of the family and the total income of the family must be below or by the slightly above the level set for the BPL (Below Poverty Line).
- The respective family head applicant must be from rural areas and he or she must not own any property, lands, or homes under their names.

Benefits offered by AABY health Insurance Scheme
Under this health insurance scheme, the respective eligible family head will be insured with LIC and needs to pay the premium amount of Rs. 200 on annual basis, however, the entire premium amount shared equally by the both central and state governments.
In case of natural death for the insured person the claim amount would be Rs.30, 000. In case of death occurred due to the accident or faced permanent disability due to accident would covers Rs. 75,000. On the other hand, if the insured person faced the partial disability because of the accident the claim amount would be Rs.37, 500.
